Message from the President - Jan 21

May I wish all our members and visitors a happy and healthy 2021. My wish for this year is to return to bowling in a safe and appropriate manner.
I look forward to resuming our friendship and hopefully being able to visit clubs during the summer. This will of course be dependant on the success of the Vacination programme.
Annual General Meeting 2021
With the current restrictions in place and anticipating the Vacination program commencing shortly, the Annual General Meeting due for February 21 is cancelled.
The Accounts and other essential notifications are currently awaiting examination and approval. They will be published on the website when available.

These competitions have been cancelled for the 2020 season due to the guidance noted above. Any clubs who have made application to the Match Secretary can either request a refund or leave it until 2021 season.

Please ensure that all BACS payments include a Payment Reference. This is a comment which appears on Our bank statement allowing us to match your payment.

Badges for Seasons 2020 and 2021
All current 2020 badges held by clubs and unsold will be used next year for 2021, so please do not dispose, return to offices or mislay.
Financial Guidance to clubs : April 20
Due to many clubs not trading (Bar sales and Club Hire) , the UK Government has set asside grants to support clubs during this challenging time.
We hope to provide links to useful information on this page when available.

Competition Changes for Bennie Cup and Ladies Rosebowl
The entry rules and formats for these competitions have been changed for the forthcoming season. Clubs may now enter 2 Teams of rinks.
Ladies Rosebowl
To encourage partticipation, the Ladies Rosebowl has been changed from Rinks to Triples.
Change of Details
Many clubs change their officials or other contact details during the year. If this is the case, can you please advise us of these changes in order that your personal and club information is accurate. Please use the Membership form or advise us in writing.
Marketing and Publicity 2020
Posters are available to publicise the work of the SBF and advise members of the changes in marketing and publicity. If you would like some for your club, please contact the office.
Committee Meeting Dates 2020
The provisional committee meeting dates will be published shortly.
Our Aim
To give financial assistance towards the maintenance, education and benefit of widows, orphans and dependents of deceased members of the Fellowship who are in necessitous circumstances and/ or to give financial assistance to members of the Fellowship who are in necessitous circumstances through ill-health or other causes beyond their control.
